Men her får i hele denne Q&A:
Q&A Starting
Question on romance. JO: Romancing dark/light will have a morality impact on you, jedi dont like romance, sith a bit easier
Q: Macros at launch? JO: Something we're looking at, talk about that later?
JO: All Conversations will appear in the top right dialogue window so if you come accross ambient convos, you'll be able to see it in text
SR: We have a security auth keyfaub, looking at options for auths for launch, more later.
JO: So many challenges when creating an MMORPG, creating a world to allow for thousands in the same world is the hardest, we're taking time to make it a smooth launch.
Q: Dynamic and permanent changes based on dark/lightside choices? JO: Yes, it has real impacts on your story, if you kill someone they'll be dead forever. SR: We showed this with Lord Praven in the panel on thursday.
Q: How much customization for companions? JO: Appearance (changing out armor types, weapons, helmets) you can also modify skin colors and facial details.
JO: We haven't announced a cap on the number of characters a player can have on a server.
JO: If you are running on the min spec you'll have to run it on the lowest settings, if you have a medium/high spec you'll be able to bump them up
JO: PVP is a different beast, the way you play will have to be different in pvp than pve.
JO: We don't want to give away spoilers, youll have to play the game to the end to find that out (in reference to the emperor).
JO: Names are going to be unique per server/shard.
SR: My easter egg terms won't be in the game.
JO: Juggernaut / Assassin tanks will tank differently.
SR: Holocam will be a still taking device instead of one taking video.
JO: General NPCs will care about your choices, you can't really tell if someone is good or evil by just meeting. SR: Malgus maybe.
JO: Story choices to kill companions were story choices, we took it out but it was a hard choice, been a part of BW games before, but MMORPGs have to continue on so it didn't work. The option to not kill companions was done because of testing.
JO: The healers are going to be quite good at dealing damage in PVE, if you're in a flashpoint you'll have to fullfill your role which means sticking to healing.
SR: Holiday 2011 is the target release date.
SR: We haven't talked about the amount of time for early game access, determining that now, days not weeks.
JO: Social points are points you get for dialogue and other group based activities, they are encouragement to group up, we're currently looking at ways to allow for more options to win points, we're looking at ways to stop someone from wining points all the time.
SR: You don't get to use the mount at level 1 JO: You get to use it when you're able, we want to give players a fast speeder right off the bat. Will be useful all the way to 50.
SR: VIP is exclusive to people who pre-ordered, not a wonderland for social and important items, not that big of a deal, people who are lording it over people on the forums should stop. JO: It's just a cool, kind of cantina area, it's like a VIP club, you also get the store which is exclusive to get items that won't make you more powerful but items that will make you look different.
Q: Best memory of the game? JO: Usually when a feature when it works better the first time when features usually do. When they usually come in they are a broken pile of crap but when they work right off of the bat that gets me excited. SR: My favorite moment was early on when you do a quest on Tython on romantic relations on Tython and you can decide to turn them in, jedi code would dicate you to turn them in, it was a general moral choice, and it allowed me to roleplay my character. Chose to let them go and then told the council anyways. JO: You can get into one yourself and turn them in as well.
Q: In-game tiered loot or tokens? JO: Currently individual pieces will drop, but we're testing that right now, we might go to a token system.
Q: Bootcamp low end mac-book pros? SR: Can't guarantee it, possible but we do not support that. DB: You can check the requirements.
SR: You can upgrade the lasers, shields, weapons so you can have more power and replayability but it doesn't affect the outside look of the ship. Inside customization are on the wall of crazy. JO: Yeah.
JO: You remain a dark jedi regardless of morality choices so no faction change will happen, you are just going to be a very dark jedi that is escaping un-detected by the jedi council. SR: Daniel Erickson made the analogy to WW2.
Q: Will fellow group members be able to skip my dialogue? JO: No, but there is the social pressure of them asking you to, but if you don't it does not skip.
Question on death penalties. JO: Our death penalty is pretty forgiving, but our combat is really challenging. We have to air on the side of making one easier while making the other harder. You can respawn in place if you die but has a cooldown. You have a chance to move away from the enemy to then be able to continue combat. Cooldown gets bigger every time so the more it happens, the more likely you will have to respawn at the bacta tank. SR: Because everyone has a self heal too it helps this process. When you die, your armor takes damage. JO: We want to make the game challenging but not overly hard. Too easy - gamers get bored.
Q: Clarify Holiday 2011 release target. SR: Nope, we'll talk about that later.
Q: Open world PVP? SR: Talk to us in a month.
Q: Looking for group options? JO: We'll have the basic looking for group functionality, we have some new ideas that are in the early implimentation phase, we want a social game so we want that process very easy. We're making a bunch of changes to make people want to group, now we're adding stuff to allow grouping to be easy.
JO: Currently the ship you get is based on your class, so you're stuck with it.
Won't comment on Preorder items if there boa or boe
JO: If you decide to be a neutral character, there are items for you.
Question on guild battles space pvp? JO: Not for ship so we're not talking about that right now
JO: How does lag effect cuscene/conversations? Hopefully not at all but we're making adjustments to make that stuff much less server bound?
JO: There is decay in weapons. SR: Weapons will break, you will need to repair them
JO: Currently your armor has one look, however we have the color unification and how it is locked to the chestpiece.
JO: Can you have your friends on your starship? Can't answer that yet.
Q: More details about pre-order items? SR: Yes, in the future.
Q: Bounty Hunter jetpack flying? JO: No.
Q: Darkside/lightside endgame pve-pvp? JO: No.
Q: Ewok companion? JO: It's surprising how many people have asked for that. You will see an ewok companion before a gungan but neither of those in ship.
The player who's story mission makes the final choice, not the group.
Can a player create characters of both factions on a single server? JO: Yes. SR: It's in testing, there may be reasons for us throwing both factions on the same server be important.
Q: Wall of crazy t-shirt? SR: Maybe post launch.
JO: Medical droid cannot be used in a flashpoint, more details later on how that works.
JO: Currently only one dance per class, different per gender.
Q: Capital guild ships? SR: Wall of crazy, the developers like the idea but we can't guarantee it for ship
Q: Deceived as an intro video? SR: Chronologically it is the last trailer but return is used for the intro, hope or decieved will play based on your choice of faction. JO: When we first made deceived we didn't know we'd have 3, we though we'd have two but in the end we had the third Blur movie.
SR: Next show for SWTOR is PAX Prime in late August
